Dear Friends,
Most of what I know about business I've learned by making mistakes and then figuring out the lessons they contained. Of course I would never admit that to you until now!! ☺ If only I had a penny for each of those mistakes. -- In my life, everything I have done has been derived from a deep passion and desire to be the best at what I do. I feel a strong commitment to those that trust and believe in me. I have also learned to laugh a lot, enjoy the journey and occasionally step back and look at things from a bird's eye view. Recently, I realized that while my commitment to you as my clients has always been a main objective, I could not ignore the fact that my commitment to my husband and his health concerns had become my main priority. In early January, I placed a call to Joe Law, owner of Sundog Media. I shared with him that I was looking for a "home" for my clients and my staff. I have admired his work for quite some time and I wanted to know if he was interested in providing that home. I also shared that after researching and evaluating other companies, I was convinced that Joe's (and his team's) character and business practices were a perfect fit. Today, I am happy to announce the merger of two great Alaskan companies, Sundog Media and WebWeavers Technology Group and the sale of WebWeavers to the only company I would trust to take care of you the way you have come to expect. I am excited to see what my future will hold, but also want you to know that I will be heavily involved in the transition and a Consultant for Sundog Media for years to come. You can't get rid of me that easily! ☺ I'd like to introduce Joe and Cathy Law, Sundog Media and their team (which includes our WebWeavers staff and FROG!). They are incredibly professional, creative and fun to work with. Because they do what we do, and our staff is now their staff, the transition will be quite seamless. If you have any questions, feel free to email me directly. If you receive an invoice, please send payment to the address on the invoice you receive. If you have projects and management, as always, email Kourtney and she will be happy to take care of everything you might need. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your business, your trust and friendship. It has always meant the world to me. First I want to thank Ginger for her warm, encouraging words and the honor of being chosen for the opportunity to be a part of seeing what these two companies can do as one. I really feel the possibilities are endless and exciting. Prior to Gingers call, in our last client Newsletter, I outlined some of the goals we set for 2008. The third one I listed was worded this way, "Grow our team and services." I think, in light of this recent merger, we can safely check this off our list. I would like to take a moment and welcome you to Sundog Media and the combined team of SDM and WW. In case you were wondering about the FROG and the DOG, well... WebWeavers had a mascot frog named Melvin. As part of the merger, Melvin was guaranteed a place in the new company for life. We, at Sundog Media, did not want him to be lonely so we created Sunny the "Sundog". Sunny is illustrated to represent our dog, Abby, a Vizsla. Melvin, meet your chum. :-) So, you not only get the Frog you get the Dog! The boating photo above shows our family in Cascade Bay, PWS.
